HOW TO DONATE

There are a number of ways in which you can donate to the Life of Riley or one of its chosen charities directly and you can find out more information about this on our donations page.

We are also pleased to announce our own toolbar that allows you to search the Internet. By using our search facility you will raise money for the Life of Riley and also Make Child Poverty History.

OUR BLOG

Keeping you informed on Riley and the family
We are doing our best to keep this up-to-date, but obviously Riley's well being comes first.

What We Do

What Does The Life Of Riley Foundation Do?

A number of close friends and associates of Riley’s family have been raising money for charities that care for children with cerebral palsy as well as other brain injury related problems. We are proud of the fact that ALL proceeds raised as part of our activities go to the causes we support and we self-fund all of the costs (although most people and companies donate their time, effort, facilities, etc. for free!).

Success To Date

Since we started, we have raised over £75,000. During our first year in 2004 we organised an event featuring a live band and a charity auction in the City of London, which raised over £7,500 in one night alone. In 2005 we did even better with a similar event and managed to raise in excess of £9,000!

In 2006 we managed to raise even more much needed finds through so many other mediums:

  • Pali International devoted £4,500 of the proceeds of their charity poker night
  • The 2006 Life of Riley event raised well over £19,000
  • Riley's Dad's London marathon justgiving account also raised over £5,000

Into 2007 and we started the year with a Curry Night on March 15th that raised over £5,000 and this money went to Whizz-Kidz, The Life of Riley and to Heather Braithwaite, a young girl with cerebellar ataxia who needed some specialist equipment to help her communicate in daily life. Riley's Dad was Whizz-Kidz top fund raiser for the London Marathon with £13,135 and also raised over £4,000 for the Little Havens Children's Hospice when he completed the Ironman UK long-distance triathlon.

We closed off 2007 with the 4th annual Life of Riley event, which again raised over £6,000 for our nominated charities of Whizz-Kidz and Evelina Children's Hospital.

In 2008 Riley’s Dad raised £3,500 for Whizz-Kidz when he completed the Flora London Marathon whilst dressed in a Borat “mankini”, complete with moustache and wig!
We are now into the full swing of things in 2009 with a massive Family Fun Day, full details of which you can find on the Events page
.
